ITHACA - Niskayuna came into Saturday's Class A championship game at Cornell University hoping to add a new chapter to New York State boys' lacrosse history.

Instead, it was the same old story as West Genesee dropped the Silver Warriors 15-2 for its fourth straight title and 14th overall. Niskayuna (21-1) was the first Section II boys' team to play for a state lacrosse title. But the Silver Warriors never were able to get their vaunted offense in gear and their dream of bringing home the top trophy didn't materialize.
